SEOUL LOVIN' DAY 1- 090713
GOT TO TAKE SIA BECAUSE THERE WAS A PROMOTION GOING ON WHEN WE BOUGHT OUR TICKETS AND IM GLAD WE TOOK IT BECAUSE IT WAS LIKE 600 PLUS SGD PER PERSON FOR A TWO WAY TRIP(which was even cheaper than all the cathay pacific flights with stopovers at HK and actually cheaper than any other airlines) WHEN THE NORMAL PRICE IS LIKE 1000+ SGD PER PERSON
i really love window seats
just look at those clouds..
though for some reason i always get seats at the wing -.-
arrived at incheon international airport, collected our bags, got a portable wifi device and got a ticket for the airport bus. it was 10,000 won per person which is approx S$11, very cheap compared to a 100 over bucks taxi ride.
we took bus 6015 and got off at sejong hotel, the last stop lol. it was an approximately 50 min ride, and the stop was just next to our hotel -- Hotel Skypark Myeongdong III
lol the view on the airport bus. just look at those gloomy clouds aiz
KIMCHI WHICH WAS DAMN SPICY AND GARLICKY
finally reached and settled down and got down to dinner.
went to this place called MYEONGDONG KYOJA which i found on instagram and it's really popular cos we had to queue too even when there were three stories. but they opened up the third storey for us so it wasnt a long wait.
here's what we ordered which is also equivalent to ALL that they have on the menu
clockwise from top left: dumpling noodle, kyoja, soybean noodle (served cold), bibim noodle (served cold. actually dont know what this is called lol but the ingredients and sauce reminds me of bibimbap so yeah)
MOST DELICIOUS OF THE LOT. THE NOODLES ARE DAMN YUMMY. NOT TOO SOFT NOT TOO HARD AND JUST PLAIN YUMMY. even the jiaozi were nice lol and this is coming from a person who hates dumplings
this was a different story lol. the soup is like just soybean soup. just imagine soya bean milk without sugar and with the texture of grounded soybeans. BAD HAHA too weird for me but apparently it's very good for health. and it's also only available in some months.
KYOJA. which was nice too though it had korean tougay (beansprouts) inside. and coming from a person who hates tougay and dumplings, this was nice.
myeongdong streets in the night
spot the delivery ahjumma
GONGCHA. and osulloc which we forgot to try damnit.
MIXED FRUITS BINGSOO at PARIS BAGUETTE below our hotel HAHAHA where we subsequently had breakfast at for three days. this shaved ice is damn nice please especially in the hot summer weather! minus the fact that their fruits are all frozen lol
and our T money card for all our train and bus rides.
we spent about 22,000 won per person for the entire duration of our trip lol
And that's all for day 1 LOL. Nothing much expectedly lolol since it's only less than half a day
