Took bus 2200 from Hapjeong station to get to Heyri Art Valley.
The approx 50 min ride only cost 1,700 won per person using the T-money card.
Saw this blog where the person recommended sitting on the left side of the bus because there's more things to see, and yup he/she's right., though the barbed wire along the roads can be slightly scary. (On the way back, i even spotted a soldier holding a rifle in one of those army shelters)
And this is only because....we're going to Heyri Art Valley, which is in Paju, which is...only 3.5 miles away from North Korea. Very daring considering how North Korea and South Korea ALMOST went to war? But it was all worth it.

IT WAS RAINING VERY BADLY THAT DAY. And we didn't know which stop to stop at exactly, because the announcements on the bus were all in korean and everything had "heyri" in it LOL. but luckily we decided to stop at this stop instead of some other stop which brought us to some other weird place?
one main gribe: we bought a korean map for 500won lol and thn i realised it was useless because even though there were cartoons of the various places, we still didn't know where we were -.- and there weren't any english maps available, otherwise we would have bought that instead lol.
oh and then the map kept getting wet because of the rain. i really hated the rain bleargh.
one of the first sights we saw haha. it's really quiet there really, not quite a tourist attraction (which was what i actually wanted this trip to be. not so touristy, and more of exploring less known places and of course shopping lol)

but anyway such old buses and old cars can be spotted in quite a few spots there
because it was raining so badly, we decided to pop by this pizzeria for lunch. and that's the chef baking our pizza

the entrance fee is only 6000 won for adults, and 5000 for students/teenagers (LIKE ME) here.

stumbled across this place which is mainly for kids lol, and my parents were actually wanting to leave the place because i cant seem to find any of the things i wanted to find :/ but luckily we didnt
lesson learnt: dont bring parents on hunts for places/where there's a need to walk a lot, though i really didnt expect us to get lost here

AND THEN WE SAW THESE. the first time i saw a colour pencil fence was in europe last year and i was so sad i couldnt take a proper picture for keepsake because i was in the bus and we passed by it too quickly. really damn pretty and would be better if the black/brown parts were lighter in colour lol to look more like colour pencils.
AND THEN AFTER MORE STUMBLING (THANK GOODNESS WE WALKED IN A BIT MORE) WE FOUND THE PLACE I WANTED TO VISIT WHICH MADE THE ENTIRE VISIT TO HEYRI WHICH SEEMED A LITTLE POINTLESS BEFORE THIS, MEANINGFUL.
MUST VISIT!
the moment i stepped into the "museum" area, i was like "WAH!" at this thing, "WAH!" at that thing lolol. really never-ending "WAH!"s cos it's really too amazing how they managed to make everything so real.
forgot how much was the entrance fee though, but it will definitely be worth it.
my parents who were uninterested at first, began snapping away the moment we went down the above stairs lol

there's like many levels and alleyways so i really felt like i was living in those times and taking a walk in the past in korea.
though the people dont really look real hahah but if they looked any more real than this, i will be freaked out. imagine if these figurines suddenly blinked #myheartcannottakeit

I felt so scared in this area because this is in a room inside a room lol and my parents were like somewhere else so i hurriedly took a few shots and left lol.
actually i was rushing my way through everywhere else too cos it really gets a little scary after a while so got a lot of blur shots :( i kept imagining what if later on when i see the photos, i see blur figures in them lol scaring myself

ok bad photo i chose (took a lot lol) but anyway that shelter like thing on the left of the pic is one of the many "shelters" we saw along the way. and in one of these shelters i saw a armed soldier. i only saw one la. if all of them had one, i would be freaked out.
original plan was to go to n seoul tower, but it got postponed because it was raining.
so we went to eat JJIMDAK at hongdae.

just look at those glass noodles (we chose the thick ones) and the chicken(we chose boneless hahaha) and the ricecakes and the potatoes and the carrots and the gravy (OH THE GRAVY. just mild spicy but it was so spicy lol my father was sweating like he was in a sauna room. but it was OH SO DELICIOUS AND SHIOK i could really do with a big bowl of this now)
oh oh and this was where the girls(1 korean and 2 non-asians) at the next table went gaga over this waiter lol. they thought he was so cute that they wanted a picture with him. but then they realised that he was leaving already so they talked to the other waitress. and based on my limited understanding of korean, here's what happened.
they asked the waitress if he was a trainee under some entertainment company waiting to debut (lol) and she said no. then cant really rmb what else they said but the girl asked the waitress if she could help them ask if they could take a picture with him (lolol) and they also found out that usually he works in the nights but he was leaving at 5pm that day because he had something on.
and then the waitress went to tell the guy when he was about to leave for good haha but he didnt come back (lololol)
it was actually quite funny because the girls couldnt get over him, like really. they were conversing in english so we heard everything lol. (it was awkward cos my parents were there but whatever lol) like after every 2 min, someone will suddenly mention that guy HAHAHAHA
cant really remember his face (probably not my type lol cos i rmb thinking he's cute but then got no impression lol) but his service is good haha, though his english was limited, he taught us to mix the gravy with the rice to eat (he kept saying sauce or smth and pointing to the rice and we couldnt understnad him at first haha but at least he bothered which was really nice of him)
this is one of their signatures too. this plate of goodness costs 3000 won BUT SO DELICIOUS I SWEAR. underneath those seaweed is a roll of rice with fish roe mixed in them
and this is the bowl version of the rice rolls. and there's tofu too. we were so famished that was our dinner at 4 plus pm LOL. and we finished everything.

AND THEN WE FOUND THIS.
LUCKILY WE ATE IT EVEN THOUGH WE WERE SO STUFFED COS WE DIDNT SEE IT AGAIN. OH SO YUMMY I LOVE IT. though that cardboard piece didnt help to protect our fingers from the heat lol i was so afraid i would drop the entire thing because it was too scalding hot.
and then we went back to ewha to shop for a while before the rain got too heavy we couldnt take it. hongdae also has shopping areas but we decided to go back to ewha cos my mother wanted to buy the socks and the socks we saw at the below store were the cutest and it had the most variety. (instead of the PSY and starbucks logo ones -.-)
THE DISNEY PRINCESSES ONES ARE SO CUTE RIGHT OMG. regret not buying really
and i decided to buy strawberry milk from the banana milk brand to try and.... it tastes like normal strawberry milk LOL ok #anticlimax
